About

Hi, thanks for stopping by.

It’s hard to believe I’ve only been blogging for a year but now I can’t imagine life without it. I remember having all these ideas for recipes and memories of my travels but no outlet through which to share them . . . until I started my blog.

I suppose I was about thirteen when I started to become seriously interested in food. I had a couple of cookbooks and spent hours poring over them. One weekend I asked my mother if I could cook dinner on Sunday evening. Mum, always preferring to enter and leave the kitchen as quickly as possible, handed over the reins without hesitation.

My first family dinner was a roaring success and Tracey cooking on a Sunday evening became a regular thing that everyone in the house looked forward to.

As for travel, well, I can’t actually remember a time when I didn’t think about travelling. As a child growing up in New Zealand I dreamed of seeing the world. In particular, London. I don’t know why but the city held such an allure for me that I used to literally dream about walking through the arrivals hall at Heathrow. Not only did I eventually make it but I spent four years in London and met my husband there. The city will always hold a very special place in my heart. I need to return every couple of years to get my “London fix”.

So let me share with you the food I love to cook and eat and the places I’ve travelled to.

And by the way, I also dabble in writing. I’ve completed two novels and have published them on Amazon. Check out “My Books”.

Happy cooking and travelling!

Tracey
