Here are the answers to Nena’s questions for me:

1. What do you do during your free time? Too many things! I love to write, cook, travel, eat out, shop, go to the cinema, walk on the beach.

2. What are your favourite foods? Do you like dessert? That’s a hard one because I love food so much and I definitely like dessert. My favourite dishes would have to come under pasta and risotto. I love Italian cuisine above all others. My favourite dessert is panna cotta.

3. What kind of sport do you like? I’ve never been much of a sporty person. But I’ve always loved to walk and I enjoy classes at the gym.

4. Have you ever had a pet? What kind of animals do you like? We had a dog when I was a child named Kimball and he was the coolest dog ever. So I suppose I’ve always been a dog person. Having said that my sister-in-law has a cat named Lilly who I adore.

5. In the world which countries do you like to spend vacations? I love Europe mostly. Italy is my favourite place and the Greek Islands is the place we go to kick back in the sun.

6. Do you like to live in cold or tropical place? To be honest, I love the seasons so I don’t think I’d want to live somewhere hot all the time. As much as I love summer I look forward to the change in fashion and food and colours that comes with autumn and winter.

7. What kind of books do you like and the author? Crime fiction is probably what I read the most. My favourite authors at the moment are Peter May and Charles Cumming. I also enjoy women’s fiction and my favourite authors are Paullina Simons and Jojo Moyes.

8. What do you prefer to wear – a high heel or flat shoe? Being quite short I do like heels, especially if I’m going out. But I do love a stylish loafer in the wintertime.

9. Do you know how to swim? What style do you like? Yes, I was taught to swim as a child. Freestyle has always been my favourite.

10. What kind of vegetable do you always cook or include in your meals? That’s an easy one – spinach. I love it and put it in just about everything – just about!

11. Which one do you like – diamond or gold? Why? Probably gold actually. I’m not big on jewellery and when I do wear it keep it quite simple. Although I will always love my solitaire engagement ring.

    • Absolutely, Annika. We do have a lot in common. As for the novel, it’s coming along. I’m working on the re-writes at the moment. Not quite as exciting as writing the first draft but I still love it. It’s not always easy trying to fit in writing, cooking, blogging, working. I need more hours in the day but that’s never going to happen. Ah, if only I didn’t have to sleep!
